I take it back. The following tweets between Columbus and CC cannot be exlained by me. It appears to be a royal kiss off indeed:

1. "Sure you realize that the "no kiss" news is big, right? Do you know if this is coming from CBS, P&G or from GL? Absurd."

2. "Any chance that the "no kiss" result could change with calls to GL since there are still some days of shooting left?"

She responded "Oh, I don't know".

I will hold CBS AND PG responsible, because a major advertiser like PG has plenty of sway with CBS.

CC is a master and I don't believe she tweets ,or does anything career related, casually or carelessly.

Here is my totally geeky, need-a- life analysis of the semantics in and mechanics of the tweets:

First, much of the uproar centers on the supposed accidental confirmation of the kiss in the first tweet which said "can". I don't buy it.
How do you accidentally hit send after typing "can"? I have a Blackberry curve just like CC's and the "send" button is not near the apostrophe (')which would come after the "n" in "can" if she was typing "can't". The send button is under the "t", so it's sort of possible to hit send accidentally if she was typing "cant" without the apostrophe. However, you can see that she typed "can't" WITH the apostrophe twice after the "can" twitter. She also used commas and other punctuation marks, so I do not buy the accidental "send" of "can".

I love CC, she loves to play clues and mindgames as evidenced by the promo of Venice, and she is a consummate professional with a great sense of humor. No way is this a goose slip. It is a clue and a tease and a marketing technique by a very smart and savvy person.

There is also something weird about the use of the word "weep" twice, when weepy would have fit the 140 in the first. (acronym perhaps? Web Episodes Extend Perfromaces? Very lame attempt but you get the idea) Just sayin', the clues for Venice have been very sophisticated and this might be more of the same...

This is not to say that I don't think that the s/l has taken a bizarre turn, or that it will get back on track. I just think CC's twitter is another fun and playful tease from an actress who loves soapy drama, even on twitter.

Chill out people. If you are going to psycholanalyse every little thing you'll going to end up in a padded room. I find it hard to believe that CC would spill the beans like that, and I also think it a betrayal to take advantage of her tweets & make a whole story about it,particularly when her comment is so ambivalent and open to interpretation. If you've got NOtalia withdrawals, get yourself down to that shop with Doris and make some purchases! Let the lass alone to do her craft - when she's got something to say, she'll say it.

The dismantlement of GL has been ongoing. We are all looking around attempting to point a finger or find someone to curse out over the Otalia debacle. But, let’s face it, it has been a fun and educational ride. The actors have been more than generous with their time and commitment to their fans. We have all met new people, made new friends, and tried new things. Will we get a kiss? Who knows? I am at the point that I am taking my lessons and my personal gains and moving on. Did writers set out to destroy a significant piece of drama? I hope not, but with the economy going to hell in a hand basket, I am sure they made some significant compromises.

I never much thought that life was about the “endgame” anyways. And quite frankly the mere utterance of that term “end game” just makes me do one of those “there is a bug on my shirt” shakes! To me, it is always about the journey. If I take the time to look past all the angst and wishful-thinking, I seem to find that this journey has been a success for many and a worth wild one for me. If I do become angry, it will not be directed towards the media, writers, or the actors, but, I will be a little miffed at those who kept screaming get off the ledge Otalia is the endgame.

I don't think anyone is taking umbrage with the actors. We all have much love & respect for JL & CC. But seriously, I think a lot of us have been slowly realizing that Otalia is only "endgame" for us. Basically we've been played & while "denial is always an option", so is anger. We may never get an answer to who was responsible for gutting the Otalia s/l, but we can still ask the question.

After reading & re-reading the Twitter responses by Crystal Chappell, imo her statement intended to mean that she couldn't discuss the kiss at this time. Why after all this time, would a professional actress, dedicated to her fans & this s/l suddenly drop a bomb like this w/ JL's scenes not even broadcast yet? Yes, I think the Goose may have played a part in HOW she answered the question posed, but I think we are all over-analyzing the statement.

Clearly she posted the "can" accidentally by hitting the wrong key, then just tried to correct that b/c of how @reileen4 responded to the mis-key. And judging on how many seem to be reacting to the verbage CC chose to use, it's a good thing she did correct her mistake, cause otherwise the "twitterverse" would be going crazy b/c CC supposedly said she "can" confirm a kiss.

I think, as frustrating & difficult as it is for us all (cause trust me I'm an Otaliaholic, tried & true), we need to all just sit back, take a swig of our favorite drink, or maybe pop a valium (cause u shld never mix the 2..lol), and just relax. It is what it is, & whether we like it or not GL is coming to an end & the writers have written the final scripts I'm sure. So, calling or writing at this point is not going to change that.

Let's just continue to give CC & JL our support, cause we all know we love them to death for agreeing to do the s/l in the 1st place! And they have gone over & above what any of us could have expected in terms of their acting & on screen chemistry. Yes, CBS & maybe even the writers have sailed them own the river of no return (maybe), but those who say they are done & not watching anymore imo are giving CC & JL a big slap in the face. They don't control the scripts they are given, or the lines that are written (tho they may improvise now & again), so why stop watching them & their on-screen talent & chemistry? They deserve at least that! When is the last time we have all seen 2 actresses give back so much to their fans in their off time (twittering, interviews, FB, podcasts, and now Venice)??!! I'm just sayin...

She mentioned in the BPD podcast about 'the kiss' and so if she's now refusing to confirm then it must have been called off. I really don't get it. Why would they devote such time to a story not to complete it? So what do we have now but the greatest story of 'two friends who loved each other more than anything in this world'? Hardly the romance that began. The nightmare I had the other night about Otalia's romance scene where they both wore massive coats, cried and hugged, might come true.

What worries me more is my reaction to it, it's 3.18am, I can't sleep and I've been crying. Anyone would think Tara had died again. Bloody hell I hate getting emotional about TV.

I wish there was someway to keep this little tidbit to ourselves. If CC did indeed accidentally spill some beans, I would bet she wasn't supposed to and I would hate for her to get in any trouble over it.

Whether this is true or not (I think I'll agree with mariacomet)... the sad thing for me is to realize just how much we have all been forced to lower our expectations. I mean, seriously, Otalia has been a couple for months now...we should not have to BEG for a kiss when in fact we've all wanted no less than a love scene.
