Anyone But Me: A True Fan Perspective

I am a big fan of the web series, Anyone But Me, but I’m oscillating. Rumor has it that I will be impacted by the final plot twists of this season. I watched Episode 7, Date Night, and I have to confess, I am spinning. I’m not just blowing hot air when I say that I believe Vivian and Aster are about to enter a gale of relationship turmoil.
At least Archibald and Elisabeth seem to be a refreshing breeze, but an ill wind has blown in in the form of the “cool t-shirt girl” from Episode 1. Feeling a certain kinship, I’ve always had the suspicion that Sophie ran on AC/DC, but I have to admit, my switch was thrown when she showed up on double Date Night with the female power source. Vivian is visibly shaken by Sophie’s choice of box type and confesses to Aster that her childhood chum used to get her motor running.

This drama blows. I knew it! I am propelled into a state of unbalance as the blood begins to boil in my vanes. What is a super fan to do? The look on Aster’s face keeps going round and round and round in my mind. Someone pull the plug! It’s no use, I’m a dry cell. I can’t bear to look, but I can’t stop watching and thinking about the possibilities…and then it hits me.
Oh, shit.

Oh shit, is right!
I think every fan is scared but excited about the possibilities of what’s coming next..because as much my friends & I discuss it, we can’t seem to guess how this season is going to end.
That’s probably right where the writers of ABM want us!
Love this Schmootz. LMAO on your snark which was much needed after episode 7. I will change my mind at least 100 times before episode 8, but right now I am guessing Aster does some relationship sabotage to see if Vivian will pursue Sophie.
Hmmm…that’s a pretty good guess. Aster is for sure going to run off half-cocked…so to speak.
Someone get these girls a generator, because they are about to take out the entire power grid – and I can’t wait! Nothing like a bit of conflict to propel a story forward. Well…they could sit down, talk about their feelings, apologise for having them, talk about them some more and then go and cut off all their hair. Nah, fight it out ladies! The grass is gayer on the other side.
P.S. You should know, Schmootzy. Yours is officially the first ‘blog’ I’ve ever commented on. I’ve been such a lurker. Tsk. Tsk.
Agreed, bring on the friggin crazy. And I’m your first? I feel so poppin’ honored!
I have to say I only started watching anyone but me a few weeks ago, I watched the first episode of season 1 but forgot about it but then I watched from 2-10 and I was so impressed
with the writing and the acting also the production as well, what I like is it is not heavy handed or after school program like which is a refreshing change from some of the teen dramas that I have seen on tv
anyhow getting to season 2, I caught up on the first 6 episodes and watched episode 7 last night and WOW is right, damn those scenes between vivian and aster towards the end were SPECTACULAR and seeing as they are promising that there are gonna be some plot twists that are gonna blow our socks off, I say: BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!
by the way this is also my first time commenting on your site, as I have read your blog many of times and find it hilarious and sometimes poignant
keep it up schmootz
Loved it (and the recap).
This is the kind of show that shows the one downside of web series format. One gets into interesting characters and then finds oneself wanting more time with them. All the in between moments from the last time we saw any of these characters til now – what’s been up with them.
Seems like everyone is ready for the drama, and yes, I wish we could see more of these characters, too.
Maegan, keep posting as I appreciate the feedback.
I want to start blogging too, what do you think, which blog platform is good for noob?
